I have really enjoyed teaching a group of 8 students during a new program called STEP: “SUMMER TRANSITIONAL & ENRICHMENT PROGRAM!” It has been a joy just to see how students show such an eagerness to learn. What I now know for sure are two things: 1) Students without exception want to learn. 2) Students become engaged when a lesson is: a) fun b) challenging & 3) Well thought out & planned by the teacher or instructor.
I look forward to next year & doing it all over again with a new set of students!!
